Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis

Service Manager

c.£40,000

Glasgow

Glasgow Clyde Rape Crisis (GCRC) is a leading charity committed to providing free and confidential support to women and girls who have experienced rape, sexual assault, or sexual abuse at any point in their lives. They offer a range of tailored services, including one-on-one and group support, justice advocacy, and specialised services like the Ruby Project for minority groups and the Rosey Project for young survivors aged 13-18. GCRC works not only to support survivors but also to challenge societal attitudes around sexual violence through education and training initiatives across the Glasgow and Clyde area. Their passionate team work hard to put the healing journey women and girls want and need at the heart of everything they do.

The role

GCRC are on the search to add an empathetic and driven Service Manager to join their collaborative and dynamic senior management team; who all share one common quality, a passion for supporting survivors of rape and sexual assault, seeking justice, and to help prevent sexual violence against women and girls.

This role calls for a skilled, proactive, and values-driven professional with a strong background in trauma-informed practice. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating, developing, and delivering specialised services while managing key stakeholder relationships and external communications.

Working alongside an established team of Service Managers and leading the Triage & Survivor support service, the post-holder will oversee the operational delivery of services for survivors, ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of business plans, risk management, budgets, and staff adherence to organisational policies and standards.

The position also entails fostering and strengthening partnerships with local and national governments, as well as third-sector organisations, to secure the necessary investment through robust data and evidence collection. Additionally, the role involves contributing to GCRC’s strategic priorities, including support for policy advocacy, campaigning, and lobbying efforts.

The person

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, driven, and experienced leader in operational services, with a proven ability to develop and sustain specialist services. Your commitment to GCRC’s feminist values and principles will be evident, along with your capability to thrive in an environment where change is constant, and where workforce engagement and support are paramount. Ideally, you will bring at least five years of experience in a senior operational management role, demonstrating your ability to lead in dynamic, service-oriented settings. A strong understanding, including groundwork experience of specialised trauma services would be advantageous.

This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team and to be at the forefront of supporting women and girls who have experienced rape or sexual violence to cope, survive and move on from their trauma.

You will also get the chance to join an organisation that is tailored to support women, with working policies that reflect this, inside the wider package.
