Are you interested in leading a new-look Finance team towards success and shaping the financial future of our organisation? Rosehill Housing Co-operative is in search of a values-driven Finance Manager to join our team with a track record of delivering financial management. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing financial strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to our overall organisational objectives.
About Rosehill Housing Co-operative: At Rosehill, our commitment lies in providing affordable and sustainable housing solutions to our community, delivering over 1000 homes to our customers in the Southside of Glasgow. As a member of our SMT, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to our corporate strategy and business planning processes, while upholding the high standards of financial management necessary for the successful and ongoing provision of quality housing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy and Management: Contribute to corporate strategy and planning, ensuring financial objectives align with organisational goals. Lead and manage the Finance Team effectively, nurturing their professional development and performance.
  • Financial Management: Prepare annual accounts, manage budgeting processes, and present quarterly management accounts. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and develop cost-effective systems for payments and debtor control.
  • Treasury Management: Review treasury policies, prepare cash flow projections, and manage investments in alignment with organisational needs.
  • Performance Management: Develop and monitor the Finance Operational Plan, ensuring objectives are achieved and reporting outcomes to the Management Committee. Implement systems for benchmarking and continuous improvement.
  • Internal Services: Undertake financial modelling for development projects, monitor capital expenditure, and provide budget holders with necessary information for effective budget management.
  • Policy: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations, regularly reviewing and updating as necessary.
  • General: Oversee insurance coverage, supervise payroll, and make finance-related returns to statutory bodies. Represent Rosehill at appropriate forums and promote the organisation's aims and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Accountancy qualification or equivalent excellent financial experience
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a similar role or with strong evidence of readiness to take a step up or across
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to develop and implement financial strategies to support organisational objectives
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
