Includem is a charity that provides one-to-one, relationship-based support to young people and their families/carers. At the heart of what Includem does is a strong belief that no young person is beyond help. They see a world where every young person is respected, valued, and has the opportunity to actively participate in all aspects of society. Includem is headquartered in Glasgow with regional offices in Aberdeen, Dundee, Fife, and Stirling.

Since their formation in 2000, they have worked with more than 5,000 young people aged 5–25, helping to improve their lives, and the lives of their families and carers. They employ more than 120 staff, all of whom are passionate and committed to making a difference to the lives of the young people and families they support.

Includem is now looking to add to their dynamic Board with the appointment of 3 new Trustees. Two of these are due to current trustees who will be leaving the board at the December AGM having completed their term of office and the other to a change in personal circumstances. This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic support to a values-led organisation and to make a real-life impact on the lives of young people. Includem’s Board of Trustees provides the overall governance for the charity, ensuring it meets its legal obligations and delivers the highest possible quality of service in accordance with its charitable purpose.

This opportunity is open to experienced and passionate professionals from all backgrounds, with a particular interest in hearing from those who have experience in:

  • Commercial / Business Strategy
  • PR / Communications,
  • Fundraising / Development
  • Local government or other public service experience such as Education or Health

The team at Includem come from a variety of backgrounds, with a wide range of skills, but they all share one thing in common: a passion for supporting Scotland’s children, young people, and families. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

If you are interested in making a difference within the social care sector and becoming a Trustee at Includem, get in touch with Lauryn Pringle or Debbie Shields at Aspen People on 0141 212 7555.

Closing date for applications: Monday 24th November

To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter (as one document) via the apply button.
