Tree Tents will be relocating their manufacturing facility from Sussex, England to an Estate in Moray, near Forres, which will provide the opportunity to work amongst some of Scotland’s most beautiful nature. The new UK Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in its success.
The UK Operations Manager will embody the passions and ambitions of Tree Tents’ mission and growth. The successful candidate will work with and identify local partners and suppliers in Scotland, while also working to make the most of the international potential and commercial growth of Tree Tents. They will oversee the supply and assembly of finishing and materials for projects, improve procurement and eventually oversee transition to the new location in early 2023.
As the relocation of the manufacturing facility is in the early stages, there will be initial need to travel to the Sussex base from time to time to understand the suite of structures by working with the design team and the production team.
The right individual will have a background in the engineered timber industry and be a strong operations professional. They will embody a passion for unique living, sustainability, and nature, together with applying world-class manufacturing techniques. They will have experience working with supply chains and procurement as well as being an effective co-ordinator and delegator. This exciting role provides unequivocal potential to progress in a fast-paced start-up environment with strong potential for board appointment, equity participation and vast career growth within a few years.
Please note that this role will initially be split between the workshop at Bridge Farm near Lewes, Sussex, and Forres in Moray until the manufacturing unit is fully established in Scotland in early 2023.
