Salary: £55,000 pro rata
Duration: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Aspen People is partnering with Loreburn Housing Association to recruit an Interim Head of Housing on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Loreburn is an innovative and values-driven housing association based in Dumfries and Galloway, recognised for its person-centred services and commitment to improving lives and communities.
As Interim Head of Housing, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery and continuous improvement of Loreburn’s housing services. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and forming part of the Senior Management Team, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for tenancy and neighbourhood management, community development, and tenant engagement.
This is a highly visible leadership role that will require someone who can inspire teams, lead transformational change, and ensure regulatory compliance across all areas of housing management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design and delivery of high-performing, tenant-centred housing services.
- Drive continuous improvement through data insight, service innovation and a culture of accountability.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
- Embed a strong performance culture and deliver top-quartile KPI outcomes.
- Champion the voice of tenants and embed co-production into service design and delivery.
- Represent Loreburn externally to build strategic partnerships and enhance community impact.
- Lead and coach housing teams, supporting their development and succession planning.
Key experiences include:
We are seeking a values-led and experienced housing professional with a proven track record of leading successful teams in a fast-paced, regulatory environment.
- A relevant housing or leadership qualification (e.g. CIH Level 4 or equivalent experience).
- Substantial experience in housing leadership and service delivery.
- A collaborative leadership style with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of housing regulation, performance frameworks and tenant engagement.
- Passion for delivering excellent services that improve lives and communities.
