Since 1784 The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) has been the respected standard-bearer for farming and rural industry in Scotland.  With around 15,000 members, its key remit is to promote Scotland's land-based and allied businesses.  A registered charity, the Society plays a pivotal role in the creation of a better understanding of the management of Scotland's land and rural resources.

The society owns and manages a 280 acre site, Ingliston, which is utilised for large events including music festivals, dog shows and a variety of others including RHASS’ very own annual Royal Highland Show. During the pandemic the site has also served as a vaccination centre.

RHASS is now looking to recruit a competent and professional Health & Safety manager to join their operations team. The purpose of the role is to ensure full compliance with H&S regulations and legislation across the 280 Acre Ingliston site and all of its buildings, ensuring staff and visitors are safe. The H&S Manager will also ensure that any 3rd parties using the site are compliant and operating in a safe manner. This is a key post for the organisation, providing a high quality and safe venue for events and people from all across the world and is of the upmost importance for RHASS.

The new Health & Safety Manager will have a strong track record in H&S management and a proactive approach to H&S. It is essential for any successful candidate to have a detailed knowledge of current H&S legislation and regulations. The ideal candidate will be skilled in communicating with visitors, contractors, and internal staff.

Candidates should have chartered membership of IOSH or a minimum of Nebosh General Certificate.
