Capability Scotland delivers exemplary care, support, and education for disabled children and adults across Scotland.
 
We are a charity, founded in 1946 by a group of parents and health professionals who were unhappy with the way their children, with cerebral palsy, were being treated. We have always strived to be a major ally in supporting disabled people to have full equality of opportunity and participation as citizens of Scotland.  We’re huge advocates of creating independence for disabled people and putting our customers at the heart of our work.
 
Capability Scotland is looking to hire a dynamic individual to lead, manage and develop the organisation’s Human Resources and Learning & Development functions.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Policy Development 
  • Framework Development 
  • Conduct Organisational Risk Assessments 
  • Lead Change Programmes 
  • Collective Matters 
  • Management 
  • Financial Management 
  • Pension and Death in Service Provision 
 
The successful candidate will be professionally qualified with a proven track record of operating at a senior level within a complex business or organisation.  You will have a thorough knowledge of employment law and pensions as well as significant strategic planning and project management experience.  Strong leadership and management skills is essential as is the ability to engage, negotiate with and influence senior stakeholders.
