We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Finance, IT & Corporate Services to join our Senior Management Team in Lerwick, Shetland. This is a rare chance to lead a talented team and oversee the financial, IT, and corporate services of our esteemed Association. With an attractive relocation package of up to £8,000, we welcome applicants from across the UK to consider making Shetland their new home.

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Chief Executive and be responsible for the management of our Association's financial affairs. Your leadership will extend to overseeing our IT systems and security, ensuring that our infrastructure is up-to-date and robust against emerging threats. You will also manage our Finance, IT, and Corporate Services teams, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and excellence. Your strategic insight will be crucial in guiding the Management Committee on financial, auditing, and IT matters, empowering them with the information they need to steer the Association towards its objectives.

The successful candidate will have the authority to sign general account cheques up to £10,000, and play a critical role in the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with our business objectives. You will also be a key figure in our internal and external audit functions, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include active participation in the Business Plan process, as well as the timely provision of management accounts and other essential financial information.

As a leader within our organisation, you will contribute to the overall management of the Association, participating in sub-committee and Management Committee meetings. Your role will also involve writing and reviewing policies and procedures, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of best practice, governance, and efficiency.
