Director of People

Location: Glasgow, with flexibility

Salary:  circa £65,000

Recognising the need for a national transformation of social care that delivers sustainable and impactful services, we present an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Executive Team. As we implement our COVID Recovery Roadmap and deploy our 2021-2026 Strategic Plan, we seek a senior HR/OD professional aligned with our ambition, who is passionate about our goals and capable of leading the strategic delivery of our operational plans. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of People will lead a programme of HR/OD and change management that will support the organisation for the next phase of its evolution, putting our staff and those who use our service at the heart of what we do.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in leading our change management and workforce planning response through the ongoing pandemic and will contribute to the deployment and revision of our plan as we address the financial implications that arise from the Covid-19 situation. To achieve this, it is imperative that our Director of People builds on existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including our people and volunteers, trade union partners, HR Voluntary forum, Fair Work, commissioners, and local authorities.

The successful candidate will operate at a strategic level and will deploy resources that assure high standards of HD/OD service in a context that maximizes opportunities for workforce development, service growth and transformation. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful HR/OD and change management, in-depth knowledge of HR and employment law and regulations, commercial acumen and proven stakeholder engagement and management skills.
