Shettleston Housing Association is a Registered Social Landlord providing quality affordable homes and services to the communities they serve in the East End of Glasgow. With more than 2,400 homes in management, an active new build development programme, and significant investment planned for their homes, Shettleston HA has a bright future ahead.
Directly employing 45 staff, Shettleston HA is also the parent of a group with two subsidiaries: a mid-market rent organisation with housing stock of its own and a direct works organisation. The latter is Upkeep Shettleston Community Enterprises, itself employing a large staff team and providing employability and training opportunities in the local area.
Shettleston HA is now looking to appoint a Director of Finance & Corporate Services – a role that demands strong strategic finance skills allied with the leadership ability to help develop the organisation. This role will also ensure high standards of governance throughout the Group.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Executive Team, working collaboratively to guide the organisation. The post holder will report into the Chief Executive and the Board, comprising mainly of local residents, and so experience of working with or on non-executive boards or committees would be beneficial. The post holder will be supported by a strong team of three operational managers to provide strategic direction to the Finance, Corporate Services/HR and ICT teams.
