Thenue Housing Association
Director of Finance, IT and Corporate Services
Glasgow
Salary: £64,656 - £67,543
Since 1979, Thenue Housing Association has provided high quality affordable homes to tenants around Glasgow. As a registered social landlord, the organisation provides a variety of services both to tenants and to the community in addition to its primary function of owning and managing 3000 homes. Thenue also owns three distinct subsidiaries in Thenue Trust, Thenue Housing Services Ltd and Thenue Communities. Whether it is offering consultancy or managing their two local community centres, each subsidiary has its own purpose in realising Thenue’s vision of working together to create better homes and stronger communities.
Thenue is now looking to recruit a new Director of Finance, IT and Corporate Services (DFICS) who will lead the Finance, IT & Corporate Services departments, driving high performance and continuous improvement, while being ultimately responsible for all financially driven outcomes across the group. With a manager for each department, the DFICS will work closely to guide the team by providing support, direction and leadership. The operational workload for each function will largely be carried out by the team and so specific IT or Corporate Services knowledge is not essential; however, an appreciation and understanding of the role these functions play in the organisation is essential.
As part of the executive team the new DFICS will contribute to the wider corporate planning and management of the organisation, working with the executive team and CEO to ensure Thenue’s values are upheld and its vision is realised. Through effective financial management the DFICS will deliver value-for-money and ensure effective financial planning is in place for the continued delivery of high-quality services and community investment.
We are seeking a candidate who has experience at senior management level and can work effectively with the board and executive team. The appointed candidate will drive innovation and performance improvements whilst ensuring effective business and financial planning. Experience of investment appraisals and working with lenders is essential for applicants.
Applicants are not required to have worked within an RSL previously but must evidence transferability within the application.
