The Role
As the Director of Finance Infrastructure and Corporate Services (FICS), you’ll have a great opportunity to lead and manage the University’s largest service directorate, within this modern and friendly University. The FICS function acts as the University’s Chief Financial Officer and as part of the University’s Executive Group and Senior Management Team, you’ll play a strategic role in leading the delivery of excellent services and delivering the University’s Strategic Plan.   
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the FICS function as a key partner with all parts of the university to enable the delivery of the university’s strategic objectives.
  • Provide advice and direction on strategic and operational finance matters.
  • Establish and develop policy to support FICS
  • Shared responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the University.
  • Lead, manage and develop all Services and functions delivered by FICS to the University.
 
Person Specification
You will be a qualified accountant with a recognised CCAB qualification (or equivalent). Having experience of leading organisational change as well as senior, strategic leadership in an organisation of comparable type and scale, you’ll be able to motivate, inspire and develop large teams across different professional specialisms. A strategic thinker with the ability to influence at all levels while adapting and improving business processes, you’ll work collegially across multi-disciplinary functions to support transformational change.
