“… to provide excellent homes and services in a thriving community”
Milnbank Housing Association in Glasgow is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Director of Asset Management. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our housing stock, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, energy-efficient homes for our tenants. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is integral to our executive team and to the leadership of the organisation as a whole.
As Director of Asset Management, you will spearhead our forward-thinking Asset Management Strategy, overseeing both the strategic and operational aspects of our maintenance services. Your role will involve ensuring that all properties meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency, while also delivering exceptional customer service. This includes managing planned and responsive repairs, as well as voids services, all within a framework that emphasises value for money.
You will be responsible for the strategic direction of procurement within the Association, ensuring that all goods and services related to asset management are procured transparently, meeting legal and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will extend to managing and motivating a dedicated maintenance team, fostering a performance-driven culture that aligns with the Association’s broader strategic objectives.
In this role, you will also provide expert advice to the Leadership Team and Management Committee, using your knowledge of stock condition surveys and appraisals to guide the long-term planning and optimisation of our housing assets. Your ability to monitor performance, set ambitious targets, and continuously seek improvements will be crucial in maintaining our position as a top-performing Registered Social Landlord in Scotland.
Your strategic oversight will include ensuring compliance with all property safety requirements, from gas servicing to fire safety, and you will play a key role in financial planning related to asset management. This is an opportunity to be a visible leader within the community, representing Milnbank Housing Association at external events and cultivating strong relationships with our customers, stakeholders, and the local community.
We are looking for a visionary leader with a track record in asset management, a strong grasp of financial and risk management, and the ability to inspire and manage a team. If you are ready to take on this challenging and rewarding role, where your work will directly impact the lives of our tenants and the future of our community, we would love to hear from you.
