Glasgow School of Art are delighted to be recruiting a new Deputy HR Director to join the Human Resources team.  This is a key appointment contributing to ensuring that HR plays an essential role, while overseeing a small professional team, in enabling GSA to meet its strategic objectives.  The Deputy HR Director will help lead a proactive HR department, anticipating challenges and identifying opportunities allowing GSA to reach its full potential. 
 
The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified with experience in a senior HR management role, preferably in Higher Education.  You will have a strong track record of HR policy development and implementation, experience in continuous improvement of HR systems and data workflows, as well as experience of leading and managing strategic projects.  Possessing an advanced knowledge of current employment law and its application, you will have experience of successful consultation with trade unions and a strong commitment to quality, diversity and inclusion. 
 
GSA are seeking a Deputy HR Director who has the ability to think critically and strategically, with excellent motivational, leadership and interpersonal skills.  This role presents a fantastic opportunity to make an impact at GSA.
