Dynamic Earth
Chief Executive Officer
Attractive remuneration package

Dynamic Earth is a unique not-for profit science centre featuring an immersive and interactive exhibition, a 6K digital planetarium, a dedicated Learning Service and Corporate Events venues. Visitors to the exhibition experience the evolution of planet Earth, from the big bang through to the present day.  Dynamic Earth is a registered charity under Scottish law and is owned by The Dynamic Earth Charitable Trust. Dynamic Earth brings to Edinburgh the opportunity for guests to time travel, journey through the universe and view the Earth from space, experience extreme environments and touch a real iceberg for yourself!
With increasing global focus on the climate emergency, Dynamic Earth remains as relevant today as it was when founded in 1999. We are keen to continue to inspire and educate the public about how best to look after our planet.
Dynamic Earth seek to appoint a new CEO to help achieve this. The new CEO will be responsible for all activities of the Dynamic Earth Charitable Trust and Dynamic Earth Enterprises Ltd. including the profit and loss, administration, financial management and governance of the business. They will also work together with the Management Team and Board of Trustees to develop Dynamic Earth’s long-term strategy, business plan and budgets.
It is key that the newly appointed CEO acts as an ambassador for the organisation, motivating staff and volunteers and building relationships with stakeholders and donors. They will understand the importance of making Dynamic Earth an educational experience accessible to all and will appreciate the importance of Dynamic Earth’s role in the current climate context.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for those with a business flair and a love of science. The new CEO will be passionate about widening access to Dynamic Earth, ensuring that the Dynamic Earth experience is relevant and accessible to all. The role can accommodate a flexible/hybrid working model.
