The SCQF Partnership
Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee (Voluntary, Non-Executive)
About Us
The SCQF Partnership is the custodian of Scotland’s national qualifications framework, supporting lifelong learning, skills development, and progression across education and work.
As a small, high-impact organisation, we work at the heart of Scotland’s education and skills system, with strong governance and accountability underpinning everything we do.
About the Role
We are seeking a Chair to lead our Audit and Risk Committee, providing independent oversight and assurance to the Board.
This role is central to maintaining robust governance, with a focus on financial stewardship, risk management, and transparency. You will work closely with fellow Committee members, the Board, and senior leadership to support informed, effective decision-making.
The role involves quarterly meetings (with remote options) and occasional Board engagement in Glasgow.
About You
You will bring experience in audit, finance, risk, or governance, along with Board or committee-level insight.
We are looking for someone who can offer constructive challenge, sound judgement, and confident leadership in a non-executive capacity, with a strong commitment to accountability and best practice.
This is an opportunity to contribute to an organisation that plays a key role in ensuring learning across Scotland is recognised and valued.
Voluntary role. Reasonable expenses reimbursed.
