About the Role

Forth Valley College is seeking an experienced Board Secretary to provide independent, professional support to their Board of Management and Executive Team.

In this key role, you will ensure the highest standards of governance by:

  • Advising on governance, compliance and legislative matters;
  • Supporting the Chair and Board in effective decision-making and evaluation;
  • Managing Board appointments, inductions and development;
  • Overseeing agendas, papers and minutes in line with governance standards;
  • Acting as the College’s Standards Officer.

You will play a central part in ensuring transparency, accountability and strong governance across the College.

 

 

About You

You will have:

  • A degree (SCQF Level 9) or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, ideally within the public or education sector;
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and integrity;
  • Experience advising or supporting Boards or Committees.

You’ll be confident working independently, managing deadlines, and building strong professional relationships.
