Rangers Charity Foundation

Trustees

Non-Remunerated

The Rangers Charity Foundation exists to be a force for good on behalf of the Rangers Family, showing compassion to those in need, tackling inequalities and creating opportunities for people of all ages to change their lives for the better.    The Foundation is proud to be the official charity of Rangers Football Club and this year celebrates 20 years of making a positive difference to others.

Delivering over 20 programmes in the wider community, and as an SQA accredited centre, the Foundation currently reaches over 8,000 children and adults each year, offering life-changing opportunities in education, health and wellbeing, employability and diversity and inclusion. The Foundation also assists a range of local and national charity partners. During Season 2021/2022 these included: UNICEF; Age Scotland; Glasgow City Mission; Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and a selection of armed forces-related charities.

The Foundation additionally responds to thousands of requests for support from across the country, provides dream day experiences for those in need of a boost and is highly involved in local community, including via the Govan Thriving Place initiative.

This wide-reaching charitable activity is supported and amplified by a dedicated communications team and by the generosity of supporters, fundraising events and activities and a range of external funders.

The Rangers Charity Foundation is now looking to recruit two new members to the board. The Trustees will support the continued development and strategic aims of the Foundation, working closely with the director and staff members to deliver its strategic objectives and support its future ambitions and potential. It is looking for the following skills:

  • Strong operational experience at a senior level – they will support the Foundation to develop and improve its delivery and performance.
  • Engagement with Scottish civil society and experience working with key stakeholders such as local and national government.

As part of the recruitment process, we will look to receive a CV and covering letter that details your interest and engagement with what the Rangers Charity Foundation does and how you may add value in a positive and constructive way to the board.

Please get in touch with Nigel Fortnum or Kate Kennedy for further discussions on 0141 212 7555.
