Link Housing Association, is one of Scotland’s largest social landlords providing high quality management services to more than 7,000 people in general needs and sheltered housing, and upon completion of our ambitious development program, will be responsible for 10,000 homes. Regarded as a sector leader, LHA operates across 22 local authorities and employs around 120 people who are committed to delivering outstanding customer service to its tenants.

LHA is a subsidiary of Link Group, which comprises of seven vibrant and diverse social enterprise companies who provide a variety of socially inclusive regeneration, housing and support services to those who need it most across Scotland. The Group has one of the largest new development programmes across Scotland, and is one of the largest social landlords in the country. 

The Role

Due to impending retirement, LHA are now seeking to appoint a Managing Director, reporting to the Group Director of Communities. The post holder will lead Link Housing Association in pursuing the strategic objectives determined by its own Board, consistent with its values, vision and purpose; ensure the development and implementation of effective strategies, business plans and policies; maximise mutual benefits of Link Housings position within Link Group.

The post holder will support the Board to achieve good governance, compliance with all necessary regulatory and statuary obligations, ensure the highest standards of services are delivered, risks assessed, and financial viability is maintained - all in the pursuit of Link Housings’ vision, values, strategic objectives and in delivering high quality services benefiting tenants and service users.

The Candidate

We are looking for individuals who have a strong track record of achievement at senior executive level within a complex organisation, who can inspire teams and engage with customers. Experience gained within housing, care and support or regeneration is an essential requirement, public or private sector backgrounds will be considered for the role.

You will lead, inspire, and encourage others to meet business objectives and adopt a customer centred approach putting the customer and service users’ needs at the heart of everything the organisation delivers.

An accomplished negotiator, you will have the ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
