Partick Housing Association is a leading Registered Social Landlord, providing quality, affordable homes and services in the West End of Glasgow.
We are looking for a committed, professional and customer-focused Housing Services Manager to lead our Housing Services Team. In this pivotal role, you will support our Operations Director in delivering key housing services, driving customer satisfaction and ensuring effective partnership working with colleagues and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrears Management and Income Maximisation: Oversee rent collection, arrears management and collaborate with legal advisors to maximise income and recover tenancy debts.
- Allocations and Voids Management: Ensure effective allocation of empty properties and minimise void relet periods and rent loss.
- Tenancy Sustainment: Work collaboratively with partners to provide advice and assistance, including homelessness referrals.
- Estate Management and Anti-social Behaviour: Deliver effective estate management services and address anti-social behaviour and breaches of tenancy.
- Performance Management and Continuous Improvements: Monitor and review key performance indicators and customer feedback, evaluate trends, benchmark best practice and take appropriate action to promote positive outcomes, manage change and ensure continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate, review, validate accuracy and input key information to the Annual Return on the Charter and Annual Assurance Statement for approval by the Board and submission to the Scottish Housing Regulator.
- Team Leadership: Lead by example and be proactive in managing and developing the Housing Services Team to work collaboratively with customers, partners and colleagues across the organisation in driving services, outcomes and changes aligned with Partick HA’s strategic objectives.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or equivalent experience in housing or a related field.
- A professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) or a commitment to achieving this.
- Proven experience in housing management, including arrears management, income maximisation, allocations, estate management and tenancy sustainment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop your team, drive change, manage performance and focus on service excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective partnership and collaborative working.
- A thorough understanding of relevant housing legislation, regulatory requirements and broad housing experience.
