Ardenglen Housing Association is a highly successful, award-winning organisation.  A community-based housing association established in 1990 operating from a modern office in Castlemilk who own and manage over 980 homes with 22 staff at its core.  Priding themselves on being recognised as a community anchor they are committed to the ongoing physical, social and economic regeneration of the area, with customer services, innovation and first class community services at their core.
 
Ardenglen is looking to appoint a new Director of Finance, Digital and Corporate Services. They are seeking a highly strategic leader with a strong background in finance to join the Senior Leadership Team and head up the FDCS team. The post-holder will employ strong strategic and forecasting skills to ensure effective financial planning is in place for the continued delivery of high-quality services and community investment. They will further ensure compliance with the Scottish Housing Regulator Standards of Governance and Financial Management and the meet Ardenglen’s long-term maintenance and debt repayment obligations. Efficiency and budgetary control will be key to the successful operation of this role.
 
As a candidate you should have minimum 5 years of senior finance experience; you are not required to have worked within an RSL previously but must evidence transferability within the application. You also will have a background in implementing financial and business strategy and delivering results within a defined strategic framework. Alongside this, it would be highly beneficial to possess some managerial or supervisory experience as the role involves managing a small team. You must be an excellent communicator; you should be approachable to your team and be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. This includes presenting relevant financial information to the CEO and the Association’s Board. Above all, you will be committed, people driven person, energetic for change and supportive of those around you as well as the wider social regeneration of the Castlemilk area.
