Shettleston is a leading community-based housing association, and a Scottish Charity, which has played a major role in the regeneration of the Shettleston area for over 40 years.

We have a track record of providing excellent housing and community services with 2,398 tenanted homes now in management and regular factoring services provided to nearly 800 owner-occupiers and commercial properties.  We are a developing organisation committed to regenerating the local area. Our team is currently working to deliver 44 new build units over the next 2 years and will invest £13.4m in our existing stock to ensure great quality homes for our customers.

We also have a proud record of delivering non-landlord “wider role” services and projects to support the development of the community. We have established two wholly-owned subsidiaries:  Upkeep Shettleston Community Enterprises and East End Housing Development Company.    The Association directly employs 44.8 FTE staff with a further 45 FTE staff employed elsewhere within the Group.

Due to the retirement of our long-serving colleague, we now seek a new Director of Customer and Community Services who can lead Shettleston’s customer-facing services which includes: housing management and factoring, tenancy sustainment and advice services, community engagement and regeneration.  The Director is part of the executive team and will contribute to the leadership and continuous improvement of the whole organisation.  The post will also contribute to business planning and wider strategy development and implementation.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right leader to deliver and develop high-quality customer services across the Association, delivering impact for thousands of people.

The candidate will have substantial experience within a social housing setting and have a track record in the delivery and improvement of customer services. The right individual will bring an innovative approach to addressing customers’ needs and improving internal policy and processes. The appointed candidate will be able to evidence success in delivering change and demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of our community and how these can be met going forward.
