SHARE is the long-standing learning and development organisation for Housing Associations and Co-operatives across Scotland. SHARE was established in 1985 and has positioned itself as a highly respected learning and development organisation with a growing membership of social housing providers.

SHARE provides learning and development opportunities to the housing sector through an extensive variety of training courses and events.  SHARE’s aim is to help ensure staff and volunteers are equipped to take on the challenges within the sector and provide a resource for any learning and development needs that may arise.  SHARE continue to grow their offering and membership to reach more housing professionals and volunteers throughout Scotland, creating stronger teams and committees across the country. Due to the pandemic, SHARE have developed courses for online learning and will continue to explore options for improving this service.

The organisation is now looking to recruit its new Director who will lead the team and strategy into the future. The new leader will continue to grow the service offerings and membership reach whilst looking to increase the online and digital services. SHARE need to generate surplus in order to grow.   Revenue streams come from memberships, training revenue & conferences. The new Director will not only lead the organisation but will act as the principal ambassador and will commit to improving performance and service quality.

The appointed candidate will possess strong senior leadership experience and be a highly effective people manager who has a track record of successful business management. The role also holds responsibility for financial management and the overall management of the day-to-day operations and activities.
