We present a unique opportunity to lead Sleep Scotland through an exciting period of growth and development. The charity has two distinctive services, TEENS+ and Sleep Services. They have separate purposes, but retain a core shared services team.

Teens+ provide a service for young people with complex communication needs, autism & its complexities, and behaviours that challenge traditional services. Our primary goal is to help individuals achieve their full potential through gentle, lifelong learning. Our Transitional Education service is designed to assist young adults who are not quite ready to take the step into post school education, work or to a new home. We also provide a befriending service out with the normal hours of our service operation which is tailor made to each student's needs.

Sleep Scotland is the UK’s longest established children’s sleep charity. Since 1998, we’ve promoted healthy sleep for children and young people across the UK and Ireland through sleep counselling, education and by raising sleep awareness. Our vision is that all children and young people with sleep problems, including those with additional support needs and their families, can receive help to achieve a qualitative improvement in the whole family’s life.

We are now searching for a pro-active and highly skilled leader to take on the role as CEO to lead these organisations. You will front the organisations and oversee the day-to-day operations, providing strategic direction and leadership to the staff team.

Reporting to the Board, key responsibilities include –

  • Developing strategic and operational plans
  • Driving growth and service improvements
  • Building sustainable relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Motivating and managing teams effectively

The successful candidate will have a strong track-record leading or working within senior management of a third sector or similar organisation. You will have relevant experience of change management and an understanding of funding structures.
