Ardenglen Housing Association is a highly successful, award-winning organisation.  A community-based housing association established in 1990 operating from a modern office in Castlemilk who own and manage over 980 homes with 22 staff at its core.  Priding themselves on being recognised as a community anchor they are committed to the ongoing physical, social and economic regeneration of the area, with customer services, innovation and kindness at their core.
 
Ardenglen is looking to appoint a new Chief Executive. They are searching for an experienced and skilled leader to lead and inspire the Senior Leadership Team, exercising control of the day to day running of Ardenglen and the management of its resources whilst ensuring that it complies with legislative, regulatory and other requirements.  The Chief Executive will be responsible and accountable to the Board, providing inspired strategic and operational leadership ensuring the achievement of the organisational aims, values, objectives and performance targets.  The role has responsibility for further developing the growing community anchor role of Ardenglen in developing regeneration activities that support the development of an economically, physically and socially sustainable community.
 
As a candidate you should have substantial senior management experience with significant staff responsibilities and a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams through significant and effective change.   You will have a thorough and relevant knowledge of the general Scottish Social Housing environment including funding, legislation, statute, regulatory framework and wider community regeneration.  Knowledge of strategic and operational finance reporting, treasury issues and understanding management accounts, budgets and investment methodologies is essential as is knowledge of the Regulatory Standards of Governance and Financial Management as issued by the Scottish Housing Regulator. 
 
You will possess proven strategic leadership skills and the ability to create, communicate and deliver a clear vision, culture for Ardenglen HA.  Experience of supporting and servicing a voluntary Board or Management Committee is required to ensure effective governance of the organisation.   You must be an excellent communicator and a relationship/partnership builder; you should be approachable to your team and tenants and be able to effectively communicate on paper through writing and presenting reports on a regular basis. Above all, you will be a committed, people-driven person, energetic for change and supportive of those around you as well as the wider social regeneration of the Castlemilk area.
