We have developed a strategic institutional domain focus on the Natural Economy, as a cornerstone for incorporating commercial reach and impact, with integration and flow across research, education and business. We see this, and the way in which SRUC works at the intersection of business, government, and society, as critical to delivery of the levels of skills and innovation required.

SRUC wishes to appoint an outstanding leader to the newly created position of Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO). The position offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic and dynamic individual who will shape the development and delivery of the SRUC’s Digital and Information strategies. The post holder will be a member of our executive leadership team and provide the digital leadership to help shape and deliver our teaching research and commercial activities, working with a mixture of in-house, and external partners to transform and enhance our digital capabilities.

You will have an exceptional track record in leading digitally enabled strategy and change management in complex organisations, you will be a first-class leader with the requisite ambition, vision and connectivity to drive SRUC to even greater success through digital transformation. SRUC’s strategy prioritises the development of a ‘digital first’ approach to systems and services supported by the necessary technology and infrastructure. The new CDIO will lead this digital transformation ensuring SRUC is sector leading in this area. This will require a transformational ‘step change’ in service and support to users. The post-holder, through exercising a high degree of independent professional responsibility and discretion, will lead the provision of an excellent and innovative Digital and Information strategy and service and will play a key strategic role in the delivery of SRUC’s strategic aims.
