Community Renewal is a multi award-winning charity at the cutting edge of tackling poverty and health inequality in Scotland’s most deprived neighbourhoods.
Their vision is one of resilient people and communities where there are better chances of securing and maintaining fair work and leading a healthy life and where families are supported to lift themselves out of poverty.
As the charity is about to embark on the development of a new 5 year strategy it is now looking for a number of new Board Members to help shape that fresh vision. We are looking to speak with potential Board members from a variety of backgrounds. All skill sets and backgrounds will be considered, with particular interest in those from a Finance, Community Development, Marketing or Health background.
We are seeking individuals that display –
- Commitment, with values aligned to the organisation
- Willingness to work collaboratively in pursuit of organisational aims
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to challenge and contribute to the development of the organisation
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusivity at all levels
The board is responsible for the strategic direction, accountability of the organisation, as well as providing advice and guidance in your area of expertise. As a board member, you will oversee the financial controls and risk management of the organisation, ensuring governance is robust, transparent and compliant with regulation. There will be 4 board meetings per year.
